Ash Wood
Ash is a genus of flowering plants in the olive and lilac family, Oleaceae. It contains 45-65 spcies of usually medium to large trees, mostly deciduous though a few subtropical species are evergreen. Ash wood has fairly good strength properties for its weight, and is also shock resistant. It is common used for flooring, millwork, boxes, crates and other turned objects such as tool handles.
